Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard and follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with access to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
- Open the app and use it to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Send the vCard to your own email address as an attachment
- On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly choose a transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
