I can delete entries in my phone address book, but I can't add them. When I try, I get a message that an error occurred and the entry is not added. This happens whether I am synchronizing or adding in the address book section.

I'm running Vista and MPT is the current version. At least it says it is when it checks for updates. I can't find a place where it says the version number.

Any ideas?

I can do it fine with a data cable but I can not get DataPilot to work with Bluetooth. DataPilot never sees the Bluetooth. I get an error message the second I try having DataPilot find the phone (using the manual setup, automatic setup never allow the "next" button to be active). I tell DataPilot the exact model and then press okay and then the message "A compatable Bluetooth driver/stack could not be found on your computer. I am using a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a Toshiba Stack for Windows version 4.00.11(D).

The bluetooth works fine for my PDA and it also works with the Motorola tools software.

I would appreciate any advice you might have. If you are going to tell me that DataPilot will not work with my present Bluetooth driver, please let me know if I can upgrade or is there some other software I can use with Bluetooth (other than Motorola Phone Tools which does not handle reoccuring appointments well).

I need a portable (possibly folding) keyboard that I can connect to the phone, wired or wirelessly, to use for IM and browsing the web and email, etc.

MObile burn has this review, just search: mobile burn bluetooth keyboard shoot-out
on google, and it's the first result.

the problem is that you need to download a driver for the phone.
and most of the keyboards support Mobile Windows, Symbian OS, and others, as well as Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Devices),
but I don't know if the bluetooth on the Rizr Z9 or the Razr2 V9 includes that kind of bluetooth. Can anybody recommend a keyboard that supports either of the two phones?
I would prefer not to have that keyboard that projects the numbers and letters on a flat surface, as that is gimmicky and hard to use on a long car ride, etc... Thanks!

I love the phone, but there are only a few problems I have with it..

1. How can I turn off that stupid beep when the phone is on low battery? Even when I have it on silent mode or vibrate, it still makes the beep every few minutes.

2. Is there a secret menu like LG's have? I know for LG it's ##program then the model number, but Does Motorola have one?

I've got an older i305 I'm trying to get my PC to talk to via the Motorola Phone Tools. The problem is, it won't see my phone. It took forever to get the driver installed, but even then I get no communication. I'm using a standard usb data cable for it and I'm using the latest 4.5 version of phone tools. Anyone know why my phone might not be detected? Is there a special series of steps I need to take in order to get my phone installed? Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

EDIT: Ok, apparently my phone doesn't work with the phone tools, nor does it properly work as a modem. Figures. *sigh* I need to get myself a new duck.

I downloaded Motorola Phone Tools 4 and tried to connect my V195S to download the numbers and other things saved on it, to upload them onto another, new, V195S that I got from T-Mobile for $40. It will not work! It says it can detect my phone, but does not recognize what one it is. Anyone have any ideas why? I looked up information on it, and it says that it was compatible with this phone. Maybe I downloaded a bad version of it or something? I really don't want to have to pay for the program just for this simple task.

Also, I want to unlock my V195S to work with an IraqNA SIM card that I have. I am going to be shipping out to Iraq for a second time in a few months, and want to use this phone.
