I work with a law firm that’s filed a lawsuit against Sprint claiming the company charged customers substantial late fee penalties that violate California consumer rights laws.

The suit claims that Sprint has wrongfully collected millions of dollars by charging customers late fees of five percent, which is more than the damages actually caused by the customer paying late.

The other day, I upgraded my Blackberry to a Samsung Moment. The phone came in the mail today, and went to Sprint's site to activate it. I was thinking it would give it the number from my old phone, but it gave me a new number while keeping my old one activated.

So my questions are:

1.) Will I be able to have my old number switched to my new phone.

2.) Will cancelling my old phone now require me to pay a cancellation fee?

I sent an e-mail to Sprint asking them, but they won't see it until the morning, and I'm freaking outover the thought of possibly having to pay an additional $200 on top of the $300 I just spent on the phone. Any answers will be greatly appreciated, and will sure help me sleep better tonight.

Sprint is now try to get all cust out of the touch pro. They will offer a HTC snap or a palm tero 700 or other models of phones that are not even close to the price of the pro.DONT GO FOR IT MAKE THEM GIVE YOU A Touch Pro2. It will take a manger to do it but they will.. If you had more than 3 advance exchanges you have a lot better chance of getting the PRO 2. I hope this help at least 1 person out. I feel so sorry for sprint cust. The company just wont let us do our jobs. That is why sprint service will always be bad.

I've researched far and wide and have not found a solution to my problem. I'm a few months away from being a 10-year loyalty customer. I have a treo 800w and pay about $58 a month for unlimited data, text, etc. (with a credit union discount and loyalty discount). I've been hoping to get a Palm Pre when my plan comes up for renewal on 12/1, but I don't want to lose all the freebies I've accumulated to date. I don't have an employer discount (I work for a small firm). Can anyone give me any advice on how to proceed?

I have a Sprint LG Rumor and was wondering if anyone knew if it could be activated for use in the DR. Sorry for my ignorance, I tried to read the forum to get the answer but all the info makes my head spin and I'm more confused than b4. I'm hoping I could just bring it to a cell phone provider there and they would handle the unlocking/flashing, or whatever needs to be done to the phone and give a new local number. I know this can be done with verizon phones and at&t phones, but sprint? Anyone have any experience or advise?

Sprint to Eliminate Some Call Fowarding Fees in November

Sprint has announced that it will not charge customers for certain levels of call forwarding. Conditional call forwarding for busy calls or calls not answered using a Sprint phone will be free beginning in mid-November.

The standard $0.20/minute charge will continue to apply for immediate call forwarding, with the change giving Sprint customers access to third-party voice services and emphasizing the new voicemail features in Google Voice unveiled on Monday, which do not require a separate Google Voice number.

Sprint executive David Owens has confirmed that the carrier will ban tethering on smart devices next year as a part of its future smart device development plans. The ban will be placed on smart devices activated on the carrier’s current lineup of Everything plans.

Other plans include Android OS updates for the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment, Android device with a built-in MiFi style router, BlackBerry Tour with Wi-Fi and other Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry devices, testing of Windows Mobile 6.5 updates for the HTC Touch Pro2 and other Windows devices “plan for early 2010″ and WiMax phones.


Personally I already have an aircard but it still is not very comforting to think they can just disconnect you at a whim :flamemad:

hey my brother was telling me that his phone has a bad voice connection but the internet connection is just fine so am just wondering if anyone knows why that could be, he says he doesn't get a good evdo connection but he gets a good normal connection

just wanted to ask for him he's busy with work and stuff.
