Got my first bill from at&t : $301.00 !!!


Just got out of a previous nightmareprovider, then signed up for at&t (since a freind works at a local store) , one active phone with 2year contract (they don't do 1year) , and one existing phone not on contract.

My daughter also used some webfeatures which costed extra $ ... However since I am a brandnew customer, isn't it possible to get some part of this astronomical bill waived (aka as courtesy write off )??

This leaves me desperate and I understand now why most of the people go for prepaid !!
I don't know how to proceed in order to get help !!

My recent LG shine has bit the dust. My carrier is AT&T and I've got a while left in my contract.

I'd like to buy an unlocked phone off eBay b/c it looks like that's my cheapest option, plus there's more choices. Should my 64K 3G SIM card work with most any new phone? How can I determine this?

If not, does any one have any recommendations on what I should do?

Well I used to have a blackjack 2 and know I have a xeon but at&t couldnt transfering all my contacts to my other phone. I have over 500 contacts and only 250 were transfered so my question is how can I get the other 250+ on the xeon without doing it manually?

I have an at&t cell phone provided by my work that I cannot text or do any fun stuff on so I got personal at&t service and an Iphone. So I ended up with two cell phones that I had to carry around. Someone suggested to me that I forward my calls from my work phone to my personal cell phone and thats what I did. My question is if someone calls my work number (which is forwarded) and I answer does it use the minutes from my personal cell phone or the minutes from my work cell?

i was thinking of getting an iphone today as i do have 800 dollars but i was hezitant to know if at&t was a good provider etc,

so i just would like to know if i should go with at&t or some other provider like vodaphone for example...

Some people think that they are stuck signing these 2 year contracts to get a nice a phone whenever they sign up or want to upgrade. This is not always true.... you can get a GSM phone that works just fine with T-mobile and is a lot cheaper then buying from them directly.
