I thought the curve 8310 had GPS? I just bought one from cincinnati bell and it has wifi and no GPS. I thought it was the other way around... Is there still a GPS system in there it's just locked or what?

I am debating between 2 phones:

BlackBerry 8520

The problem I am having is with the GPS. I want to have some sort of GPS system on the phone but I don't want to pay the $10/month fee for telenav.

The Question:
If I get the phone with GPS but don't pay for telenav, can I still get some type of GPS system on the phone for free. I've heard of google maps, mapquest navigator, Bbmaps, infospace, amAze GPS, TrekBuddy, and nav4all but I don't know if that really offers any good navigation features (plus I don't know which of the 2 phones I can and cannot use the programs on).

What do you guys recommend? I mean, if I get the 8520 can I still get some kind of GPS software on there by unlocking the phone or is the 8310 the only one that comes with a GPS system in it?

I have unlocked my keypad.. I had a party at my house and my friend putted a password and now I can not unlock my phone.. that guy is not in country anymore, he left because he needed to find a job and he found it so thats the reason he is not in country.. and the reason he putted p/w is silly.. we got angry to eachother and he putted a code and left the house while I was sleeping. :flamemad: :confused:

Is there any fast ways to unlock it.. ? :(

ok here is my other problem...... i am new to blackberries everytime i go to "Messages" it takes me to my call log is that normal?:(

is there a fast free way to make my own ringtones? i heard that i can use the motorola phone tools to do this but my phone is not recognized and there is no other way to open the actual program without it... so im just wondering if there are other programs i can use i tried audacity but it wont recognized the file when i transfer it to my bb

how do you block private numbers and unknown callers from calling? i have a curve but i cant find the "barring button" .
